Think Tracy and Hepburn. Think Astaire and Rogers. Yes, Hanks and Ryan will eternally be placed on the list of greatest on-screen duos. And though maybe it'll be mostly for Sleepless in Seattle, my hope is that You've Got Mail, a perfectly lovely romantic comedy from Nora Ephron, doesn't get left by the wayside. Certainly the most noted actor/actress team of the '90s, I feel that this movie, about the cutthroat book business (who new?), is one of the best examples of a well-made romantic comedy. Buoyed by zany supporting performances from Greg Kinnear, Jean Stapleton, and the scene-stealer Parker Posey, it's a light-hearted, harmless romp that lets its stars really stretch their legs. And ten years later, it's still an enduringly entertaining film to watch.
Standout Performance: Though Hanks' performance is admirable, I'm going to have to go with Ryan. I hesitate to say that this her best performance.
