birthdays: december 4

Jeff Bridges, 61, recent Oscar winner (Crazy Heart) and five-time nominee, he's got another potential one in the pipe (the Coen Bros' True Grit) and is part of the Bridges acting dynasty - not to mention he's a cult classic go-to thanks to The Big Lebowski and The Fabulous Baker Boys
Marisa Tomei, 46, another phenomenally ageless beauty, she stole the screen from Joe Pesci as the mouthy Jersey girl in My Cousin Vinny in an Oscar-winning role, and she made a more serious comeback with nods for 2001's In the Bedroom and 2008's The Wrestler
Gemma Jones, 68, delightful British character actress best-known as Bridget Jones' mum, Madame Hooch in the Harry Potter films, and Mrs. Dashwood in Sense & Sensibility
Tyra Banks, 37, one-time Sports Illustrated covergirl and now media mogul thanks to the endlessly entertaining America's Next Top Model and that accidentally hysterical recent talk show of hers
Jay-Z, 41, rap's clear MVP and long-time music biz bigwig, he's sold 50 million albums in his career and even managed to land Beyonce Knowles as his wife
Fred Armisen, 44, current Saturday Night Live star (one of the longest running cast members of all time, in fact) and one-time stand-up comedian, he's made a career mostly on TV, but has had bit parts in Baby Mama, Cop Out, and Anchorman, thanks to some SNL nepotism
Orlando Brown, 23, best friend Eddie on Disney Channel's That's So Raven, he's a product of the Disney machine;  you may also know his as a voice on The Proud Family and as 3J, the shark-jumping character from the final leg of Family Matters
Alex North, (1910-1991), famed film composer behind Viva Zapata!, Spartacus, and Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?, he's a 15-time Oscar nominee and a one-time winner (for a non-competitive honorary award in 1986)
Patricia Wettig, 59, one-time frontwoman of the troupe in the '80s show thirtysomething, she had a stint on Alias and a role in the City Slickers movies before signing on as a regular as the conniving mistress to Sally Field's widowed matriarch in TV's Brothers & Sisters
Max Baer, Jr., 73, son of legendary heavyweight boxer Max Baer, he had many guest parts on popular Western shows of the 1960s before settling in as his best known character, Jethro, on The Beverly Hillbillies for nine seasons
Cornell Woolrich, (1903-1968), popular mystery writer of the '40s and '50s, he contributed countless adaptations to the cinemas of the time, including Black Angel, Obsession, and Alfred Hitchcock's Rear Window
Kevin Sussman, 40, geeky character actor, he's best known for his parts as tentative boyfriend Walter on Ugly Betty and comic book peddler Stuart on The Big Bang Theory, in addition to parts in For Your Consideration, A.I.: Artificial Intelligence, and Burn After Reading

Oh, Gemma Jones! She was really lovely in Woody Allen's latest. Happy belated birthday to her. Haha
